Question LAN help for linux 7.2


hi every one,
i have installed linux 7.2 and want to use it as dial out machine to for my LAN, where rest of the machines are win98 and win 2000. My ISP has provided me fixed IP and i have modem which is perfectly isntalled /dev/modem and is dialing out. my lan card is eth0 and has the ip address 192.168.0.1. I have assigned 192.168.0.2 & 3 to other machines and all three can ping each other.
But my other machines cannot browse or ftp or ssh to out side world
can some one plz help me out.

Can you ping to internet from other machines?

You should check firewall settings, and set iptables.

If you get to internet with server machine, write these in console (and remember to replace device names with you're own devices):
iptables --flush
iptables --table nat --flush
iptables --delete-chain
iptables --table nat --delete-chain
iptables --table nat --append POSTROUTING --out-interface ppp0 -j MASQUERADE
iptables --append FORWARD --in-interface eth0 -j ACCEPT
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

I like to use webmin for change my iptables settings since i don't like learning the syntax for everything.
