Hi there, and welcome to LQ.

Could you please open a console and
issue the command
lspci -v
and copy and paste the output here?

Cheers,
Tink

hi, instead of posting a new topic, i basically have the same "problem"

I am a complete noob when it comes to Linux.. so bear with me. I cant get my LAN to work under Mandrake 9.2 ( I just DL'd the 3 disks tonight) I opened up a console and typed what u said above and here it is:

00:04.0 Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation nForce2 Ethernet Controller (rev al)

Subsystem: Unknown device 1695:1000
Flags: bus master, 66 mhz, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 5
Memory at e1087000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4k]
I/O ports at b000 [size=8]
Capabilities: <available only to root>

I have no clue what to do
