KNetworkManager on Suse 10

Hey guys,

Installed Suse 10 on my laptop last night and all seemed to be working well. Even wireless with a PCICIA card. I believe the program that took care of the connection was KNetworkManager.

Now, coming into work today to try and connect to there wireless network, no KNetworkManager to be seen.

The card is working and starts on boot fine.

Any idea how to start KNetworkManager again?

If you don't have a small icon at the right end of your kicker (aka tray), then it might well not be running ...

I suggest that you first read up on (k)networkmanager in Suse help [I searched for knetworkmanager].

If you still want to use it (because you move between different networks, for example) then you can it always runs at startup using Yast - System - System Services (Runlevel). However, it is my belief (always questionable) that you don't, or rather shouldn't need it, once your Wireless connection is set up.

Hope this helps
