I connect to the web via a network card and an ADSL router, which works fine. The problem is (i think!) the kinternet icon on the kicker shows the little lightning flash symbol all the time, which I believe means it is still in the process of dailing up? Also when I right click on the icon and select "transfer rate" or whatever its called, I apparently have 0 data in and out.

Which is all very strabge because the connection works very fine and rather faster than it did under XP!

So it seems like kinternet just doesn't know it!

Any suggestions? Couldn't find any relevant info anywhere else.

Any help woth this would be great as It's just about the only part of KDE which isn't behaving itself.

I spotted something else odd which may be relevant.

The Kinternet icon (as I said before) normally shows the lightning flash to show it is trying to connect although it is working fine.

Now I also very occasionally have the conection drop out. This is probably due to my ISP but I noticed that when it drops the kinternet icon reverts ti the "not connected" icon. Which stumps my theory that it was just that the "system tray" aplet wasn't communicating with Knternet itself.
