kick start installation is not working for rhel4u5
I have done kickstart installation through nfs server.
in rhel4 u5 kickstart file is not getting detected.
i mean it still asks for configurations.
I had copied the kickstart file which is there for rhel4 u4 and pasted under the /tftpboot/linux-install/rhel4u5 folder. edited the line where i gave the path to nfs server. should i do anything else to get it detected?
Please help me

I have the same issue...
also, if I continue manually after giving the NFS server path, install aborts with signal 11 error.
any inputs would be appriciated..

Hi Vijith,

What is your network switch?
I had same problem with cisco switch, pls refer

well it's hardly the same problem is it? just becasue kickstart didn't work, you can't say that it's down to what switch vendor you use... and I would bet that you just haven't configured your spanning tree correctly on the switch so aren't using portfast on edge switches, which explains the delay in the port coming up.
