Modprobe only installs and uninstalls modules into the currently running kernel. Its changes are lost when you reboot. To make any permanent changes to the modules, you need to work with /etc/modprobe.conf and /etc/modprobe.d/

Type 'man modprobe.conf' for help setting it up.
