Kali Linux cannot connect to eth0 anymore

I updated my system 6 days ago through eth0, during that update my system was acting very weird(almost similar to a windows virus i encountered), my cursor would lag very bad and even trying to move it would cause it to create new folders and such. I then pulled the eth0 line and it would immediately go back to normal, no moving cursor no folders and such being created as if i was running my fingers through the trackpad, the update completed successfully. Today while trying to perform another update through eth0, all i am getting is the revolving symbol of it trying to find/connect to a network. However my cursor and other functions work as expected. My wlan0 is working perfectly fine and i even tried the eth0 line on other computers and it works flawlessly. Any suggestions?

sounds like the ram is full up

if you were to post the system specs ?
then we might be able to help more

or

this is a usb2 install and well it is usb2 and using a lot of read/write and THAT will really slow it down

or

this is a live dvd install and well .....

or

this is a virtual install so........

that can happen from pulling out the plug without turning it off first

rerun ifconfig

being new you REALLY should read and CONSIDER the kali developers warning and advice

please READ the section on the kali web site called
"Should I Use Kali Linux?"
and
"Is Kali Linux Right For You?"
on this page
http://docs.kali.org/introduction/sh...use-kali-linux

Quote:
As the distributions developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if youre unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc.

-- and ---

While Kali Linux is architected to be highly customizable, dont expect to be able to add random unrelated packages and repositories that are out of band of the regular Kali software sources and have it Just Work. In particular, there is absolutely no support whatsoever for the apt-add-repository command, LaunchPad, or PPAs. Trying to install Steam on your Kali Linux desktop is an experiment that will not end well. Even getting a package as mainstream as NodeJS onto a Kali Linux installation can take a little extra effort and tinkering.
