Just installed Slackware 10.1, need help connecting to internet (DSL)
I am a complete noob with this but I decided to post here too so more people see it. I can get into KDE and everything and I launch Konqueror but my DSL connection isn't working. The modem's lights are all on (except the activity light of course) and I don't see why it doesn't work. I tried running netconfig, and I supplied junk for the hostname and stuff because it seems to not matter and it still doesnt work. I can boot into Knoppix 3.9 and have the internet work so I don't see why slack can't get it. This is really critical because I can't get help from within linux and have to reboot into windows to check this forum. Any help is appreciated.
