Joining fedora 9 to windows 2003 ADS domain

Hi everybody,

I have vista business and fedora core 9 on different hard disks in same box. There is no dual booting. I change OS from bios. The windows was the first to join in win 2003 domain (ADS).

When I tried to join fedora to the same domain, it failed. Also the settings of vista were disturbed.

Could anyone tell me the exact steps to configure samba, krb, winbind wtc so that I can join the domain and at the same time the settings of widows are not disturbed.

Also please tell me whether there is any possibility that the ADS will be disturbed if I try to join linus with it .... this is important because it is an office network where there are numerous other windows boxes.

You can try using authconfig

Another tool to help out is SADMS. I have successfully used SADMS to integrate my Linux machine into Active Directory. It does not ruin or affect Windows AD
