I am starting up a company to get new computer users online on guess which OS.... LINUX! I need an ISP to set these newbies up with, and I would like your input. Any input about your past/present ISP would be appreciated, as well as reccommended questions that I ought to ask them to narrow it down. I'm thinking to start people off with dial-up and then get them to upgrade once they're hooked. Oh, and I know that this is a crazy idea to begin with.
I tried Copper.net and it worked great in Linux. I wouldn't try netzero, juno or bluelight as they don't work with Linux - at least they don't work standard with Linux. Their support might have changed since I looked (6 months ago).
Where in the world are u? Not much point putting an isp down if it`s not gonna be relevant to u:-) In fact for anyone reading could u put your location in the bit marked.....yes u`ve guessed it....location! It`s nice to know where peeps are:-)
copper.net is located I think somewhere in the midwest US - I live west coast US - They just outsource their connection and have local dial-up where I live. I see your point however, US is a little different than the world. Guess I have to realize I live in the world and not just the US. Sorry about that..
