Smile iscsi high availability

Can any one throw some light on this?

Here is my set up

OS: Ubuntu 10.4
Two server iscsi Target with same iqn(tgtd)
UCARP for ip failover
One initiator (open-iscsi)

Expected working

When first node fails ucarp switches VIP to second one and vice-versa thus results high availability iscsi.

Questions

* should this be a good soln for iscsi HA?(i dont plan to use any h/w iscsi arrays)
* should i configure mutlipathing on this?

Thanks in advance

Need some clarity, you have a Ubuntu server connecting to an iSCSI target with two IP addresses and a Virtual IP (using uCARP)?

Also what are you running as the storage servers/devices?
