Is there anyway to run Novell client on Debian?

Hello I am new to the linux community (again). This is my third attempt at Linux and I think that I will follow thru this time. (The only reason I didn't follow thru before was game support)

Out of the few distro's I've tried I like debian the best. Mainly due to apt-get. I have used in the past SUSE 9 personal, and Mandrake.

My question is about Novell client. According to their site it requires SuSE. Is that the case? Do I have to make that switch? My office, where I am running linux (can't play games at work) uses novell groupwise and client to connect to our network and to organize outbound work. Is it possible to get these on a debian based system?

Thank you for your responses and I look forward to learning more about Linux.

Linux has a native netware file system, so you can connect to netware shares.

I'm not so sure about a full client, as the M$ client tricks the OS into believing it is using netbios/smb/cifs and provides net redirection to it's own service names. Linux doesn't need to be tricked as it can do this natively, either using smb/cifs or Novell's IPX protocol.

Install the ncpfs package & maybe ipx if you need ipx protocol support.
There are readmes in the package to show pam configurations.
