Welcome to LQ.

I would imagine so if you used a perl or php.

Ermm... letting web users have access to a compiler is a horrible idea. It could not be easier to compile exploit code and run it.

Now, you can run compiled C/C++ code as a CGI application, so if you mean "can I run C apps via Apache" then the answer is yes.

As david_ross suggested, I would checkout mod_php and mod_perl instead. Between those two you should be able to satisfy any needs, and they're tightly integrated with Apache (via modules) rather than being executed as CGI (which is slow and prone to security issues).

hello ,
actually i am doing a project . in my project there is client server set up. the clients send the C programs to server & clients are using web browser to send the programs & server after receiving the compile comaand from client, the server should be able to invoke the GCC compiler to compile the program. in our case server is apache server. can apache server able to invoke C compiler like GCC for compiling.
