You asked this same type of question when you had two dial up modems.. I'm guessing its going to be the same type of setup if you ever followed thru with the suggestions that were given.. using the mp or mpd to link two lines within the kernel, etc... Why would you want to link two lines like this though, if you really want fast download thru DSL, why not just get one line and pay for the upgrade for faster downloads, I'm sure its still cheaper than having two actual lines...

With two different providers.. don't think that's going to happen without any extra hardware.. and I wasn't talking about a T1 line.. I'm betting your ISP has DSL lines that go up to 2Mbps which is faster than most T1's..

2Mbps/640Kbps for $836..... expensive..

T1's are expensive almost anywhere... however, many DSL providers have 1.5mbps+ speed lines.

I was under the impression that T1's are 10mbps, also, T1's have the added benefit of being symmetrical.

this is still DSL.. not T1

Did you even think of getting a load balancing router for both the connections?

kublador 11-14-2004 08:22 PM

i am thinking of combining it without additional hardware.. isnt it possible?

I would also like to know if someone can tell me how to combine a cable and dsl connection. I have two routers, a hub, ethernet cards and 2 wireless cards with 2 isp's.

Is it possible?
