Is there a Linux Proxy client software corresponding to WinSock_proxy.

Is there a Linux Proxy client software corresponding to WinSock_proxy.

I'm a linuxLover living in a company based on Windows2000.

I installed a linux, but I can't configure Proxy correctly.

They use Winsock_proxy, but what shall I do?

Thank you.

they use Winsock_proxy as a firewall too.

Not sure if I completely understand the question so now it's my turn to ask questions.

Are you trying to access the Internet though a Winders box or are you trying to get your Linux box to function as a proxy/firewall box for other users?

Yes, first one.

I have configured mozilla correctly, but other internet software such as lynx,
smtp/pop3 software can't work because they can't resolve name(dns error) and can't ping the aim address(firewall).

I can only browse web via mozzila.

a terrible thing! I need a more usefull Linux.

I'm trying runsocks, and I heard there is a method by Rebuild Kernal. ???

Thank you.

I'm working hard On it.
