Is there a defrag program with in Red Hat?

In Windows I know there is a defrag program that can be used. My Red Hat box is running a little slow from when I first installed it. Is there a defrag program for Red Hat or is it not required?

As far as I know, it is not required.
If you feel that your system is slow, turn off services.
You can also recompile your kernel and remove un-needed features.

However, if you want to defrag, you can use the e2defrag command.

Note: Read the documentation carefully and DO NOT run defrag on a mounted filesystem.

Thanks for replying.

Question, how do I know if I am or if I'm not doing it on the mounted filesystem?

Where do I run the command (e2defrag) If from the terminal, what directory?
