Is there a comprehensive Samba user tutorial?

Dear all,

I've recently started using Samba for some interoperatibility between my Linux and Windows computers, and with the HowTo's of samba.org at hand, and Google for some back up, I've been able to get things working reasonably well.

However, one things isn't quite clear to me from the HowTo's, and that is how Samba deals with user accounts. How can the passwords be synced with the UNIX accounts they're invariably linked with, how can I map certain Windows user accounts to certain UNIX user account, and how can I make sure that every new UNIX user I create automatically gets an accompanying Samba user account. All this general stuff regarding user management in other words.

Also, a section of a potential tutorial covering security issues involved, and information on password backends, would be helpfull as well, although the HowTo's on samba.org are quite comprehensive on this themselves.

Is there an online tutorial or howto available for this sort of stuff? I run Samba 3.0.6 (3.0.7 soon if Yum starts to be a bit more responsive) on a Fedora Core 2 machine.

Regards,
Sophist
