IRC enrypted session so that the ISP cannot log ??
To have an IRC encrypted session must the server and client support such a function ??
freenode or undernet support such a thing ?
Is there a way to check if server support something like this ?
I want to use something like this so that if anyone logs the data that you send to the server cannon use them since the data is encoded

First off, what are you doing over IRC that's so secretive?
Secondly, yes, both the server and client must support an encrypted connection. To the best of my knowledge, none of the major networks support this because crypto is so CPU intensive that their servers would need to be 4-5x as powerful.
Also, don't forget that even if YOUR link is encrypted, they could still get it from other users, or from the links between servers.
IRC is not and should not be regarded as a secure communications platform.

thnx for the info.
It's isn't that i do something nasty but if there was an ability to avoid logging I could use it.
Now for the part that you wrote where my line can be encrypted what do you mean ?
Can I do that if my ISP does not support something like this ?
I mean that way the ISP should search for other users to get the logs as you correctly wrote

Then an SSL connection between yourself and IRC server will prevent logging of YOUR connection. Just don't assume it's completely secure, as an SSL channel is just one facet of things.

Yes, so long as you don't let it lull you into a false sense of security.
