IPv6 multicast address used with VLC and multicast address routing

Hello

I am trying to multicast to a switch I have connected on eth1
the address I am trying to use is [ff15::1] so to force the packets from VLC to the interface i want I enter this

sudo ip -6 route add ff15::/64 dev eth1

which gives me routes
2012::/64 dev eth1 proto kernel metric 256
fe80::/64 dev eth2 proto kernel metric 256
fe80::/64 dev eth1 proto kernel metric 256
fe80::/64 dev eth0 proto kernel metric 256
ff15::/64 dev eth1 metric 1024

now when I fire up vlc
the rtp/ts stream is set up as

address :[ff15::1]
baseport :5004
name :

when i start streaming instead of goint to eth1 all ot that udp trafic is going to eth2 where the default route is any idea what is wrong with the route i have entered for the multicast addr?

You can use omping tool to test your multicast configuration at first.
