IPv6 by default?

System is a Thinkpad T22, Suse 10 Linux.

The onboard 10/100 is detected just fine, but for some reason Linux has applied IPv6 to it! in Yast it is configured for DHCP, and my DHCP server is most deffo IPv4!

To get a 32bit address I have to either assign IP, (not what I want not 100% reliable) or use command line dhcpcd command - which causes complaints about mixed networking.

I never instructed Linux to use IPv6, and can't see anywhere in the config where one removes it (or implicity sets IPv4 addressing).

Where should I look?
