iptables related

Hi,
My Linux computer was able to get online even a few weeks back. However of late, when booting up, eth0 network interface fails to start up.
Message like: iptables: Invalid route in iptable (or similar message) comes up. Could you please tell me how to go about fixing this error? Need to get online again.
Thank you.
