Hi
when i execute the above command i get the following mesg

/lib/modules/2.4.19-16 mdk/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.0.gz :init module
Device or resource busy
modprobe:insmod ip_tables failed

perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgrade
I am puzzled

hmmm...perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. What are you trying to do exactly? Try shutting iptables off first:

/etc/init.d/iptables stop

then

iptables -F
