ipsec config in redhat 8
dear all,
i want to set up IPSec in redhat 8.0 i install these two rpms: freeswan-module-2.02_2.4.20_19.9-0.i386.rpm freeswan-userland-2.02_2.4.20_19.9-0.i386.rpm then i use # rpm --import freeswan-rpmsign.asc then when i run # rpm --checksig freeswan*.rpm , i see this message: freeswan-module-2.02_2.4.20_19.9-0.i386.rpm: sha1 (md5) pgp md5 OK freeswan-userland-2.02_2.4.20_19.9-0.i386.rpm: sha1 (md5) pgp md5 OK BUT, when i run # service ipsec start to start my ipsec service, i see following message: ipsec_setup: Starting FreeS/WAN IPsec 2.02... ipsec_setup: insmod: ipsec: no module by that name found ipsec_setup: modprobe: Can't locate module ipsec ipsec_setup: kernel appears to lack KLIPS and also when i run # ipsec verify i see these error messages: Checking your system to see if IPsec got installed and started correctly: Version check and ipsec on-path [OK] Linux FreeS/WAN U2.02/K(no kernel code presently loaded) Checking for KLIPS support in kernel [FAILED] Checking for RSA private key (/ipsec.secrets) [FAILED] ipsec showhostkey: must specify a format for the result Checking that pluto is running [FAILED] whack: Pluto is not running (no "/var/run/pluto.ctl") Opportunistic Encryption DNS checks: Looking for TXT in forward map: ataie.nisdom [MISSING] Does the machine have at least one non-private address? [FAILED] my valid lines in /etc/ipsec.conf file are: version 2.0 config setup and i can not find /etc/ipsec.secrets file. what should i do that i did not do? thank your sincerely, ehsan ataie |
