Unhappy IPIP tunneling not working

Hello, All
I am working on a project that needs create an IPIP tunneling with 2 RedHat Linux PC. I gooled a lot and followed instructions. But I can't make it work.
2 Linux PCs (say A and B) connected with an ethernet switch (not router). On A, I used following script to create the tunnel.

ip tunnel add tun0 mode ipip local 200.200.200.200 remote 110.110.110.110 dev eth0
ifconfig tun0 10.0.0.50 netmask 255.255.255.0 pointopoint 10.0.0.1

eth0 is the name of interface. 200.200.200.200 is the IP address of eth0.

on B, I used following script:

ip tunnel add tun0 mode ipip local 110.110.110.110 remote 200.200.200.200 dev eth0
ifconfig tun0 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 pointopoint 10.0.0.50

eth0 is the name of interface. 110.110.110.110 is the IP address of eth0.

The problem I got is: when I ping "10.0.0.50" on B, I got "destination unreachable". It looks like somehow arp request hasn't been answered. To work around, I add a arp entry on B. I still can't get ping go through. As I ping "10.0.0.50" on B, I start tcpdump on A. if I use "tcpdump -i eth0", I can see the ICMP request packets has arrived to A. But if I use "tcpdump -i tun0", I can't receive anything. It looks like ICMP packets haven't reached tunnel layer.

I did a "iptables -F" on both PCs to get rid of firewall in the beginning.

I am stopped by this issue for weeks. I tried all the ways I can think about.
Any hints/recommendations are really appreciated.

Have you looked at Red Hat's support? I put IPIP tunnel RHEL 6 in GOOGLE, and the first result shows how to accomplish this, step-by-step.

@netnix99 Thanks for your reply.
The issue is: host A(200.200.200.200) and hos B(110.110.110.110) are not on same network. That's why the packets have been discarded on host B. ping 110.110.110.110 has the same result. So, the problem is not from IP-IP tunnel. It is from physical path.
Modify host B eth0 address to 200.200.200.100. Issue goes away.

That makes sense based on the link I sent you. The IPIP tunnel interfaces would be the "MY_INNER_IPADDR=" on host A & B. Glad it's working for you now.
