iperf from eth0 to eth1

Hi,

I new to Linux and I need help to figure out how to run iperf so packet able to send from eth0 to eth1 on same machine.

The purpose of this is to make sure all NICs are working without using external devices, switch or router.

Thanks

AFAIK iperf doesn't allow you to specify the ethernet device to use. You could muck around with iproute assigning different networks to different ethernet devices but if it's just a quick test you could run netcat (nc) as listener on one device and send with another netcat instance or telnet client from the other?

Fine, run tcpdump on one device and send with netcat from the other?
