IPCOP 1.49 with ZTE Ethernet DSL Modem


Hi there, hope someone can help me.I have installed a machine with ipcop v 1.49 .But on red interface i dont know which modem to choose .My DSL modem is ethernet type (Brand : ZTE) . I wish to use with PPPOE connection.

dont chose modem
1) add profile
2) under connection interface chose PPPoE


then all the rest i think u know how to configure

good luck

hi chris since u in jb i want to info u something sorry

u know where Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn right (bp)

last week i almost screw them up because of the head of

Unit of Computer Network and Artificial Intelligence (CNAI)

looks like supporting microsoft , yeah i am contacting them , they explain they use linux

then i look up at MIMOS , yeah the server handle by MIMOS but using RH with old apache

ok just leave it there dont want to go more further accept something is againts me

then i know what to do

ok chris we should support linux forever since i myself can handle 20+20 linux desktop and 4 linux + bsd server

FYI i working with international cargo carrier , direct carrier malaysia - thailand , office in klang northport - custom plaza -


ps: anything sencitive u may contact me via routers@linuxquestiong.net or catch me in DAL

hi chris

not necessary for u to blindly learn all distro which is available in this earth

stick with what u have untill u very good with it

for me i devide system like this

Fedora Core = Desktop use ( security just forget it )

Slackware = Server use ( no gui ) production ( security tightening )

FreeBSD = Server use ( for internal R & D ) ( happy go lucky )
