Ipchains


When I execute this: ipchains -P forward DENY
I get a error saying ipchains: Protocol not available

What am I missing? Ipchains is installed....

Are you sure you have not only ipchains binaries, but also kernel modules?

I had the same problem here....
how do i check the kernel modules to see if i have them?

Is your system running IPTables instead?

Run 'iptables' and see if it works. Or, if you use kernel that comes with your distro, please write which one you have (and its version).
