ip_conntrack_ftp module

Hi all,

I am running iptables on my servers. One of the servers is running pureftpd as the ftp server.

I have loaded ip_conntrack_ftp to allow the active connection.

The ftp transfers are working, however the connection is taking a long time for each file that transfers.

I don't think I have missed anything, but it is possible, can anyone think of anything that would be slowing it down?

Just to note, the file transfers are going at full speed, however the connection for each file is taking a long time, but working.

Thanks alot.

A stupid question... Did you try to login to localhost on the server? See if it takes a long time to respond and use. This will point you in the proper direction either daemon or network.

Do you have any kind of IDS installed that is inspecting traffic?

Do you have problem with tranferring large amt of data no matter what protocol you use?
You can try a

ping -s 65507 x.x.x.x
