IP Ranges

Can anyone give me a lowdown on the normal network IP address ranges? I'm looking for the IP of a router I have...I'm not sure what class it is in...I need to know what ranges to look in.

192.168.x.x
10.x.x.x
172.16.x.x

It is probably the same as the default gateway on this and other computers on your lan. The addresses that sipsipi gave are the private IP address ranges. Often the first IP address in the subnet range is assigned to the router. So if your network address is 192.168.1.0 then the router/gateway may be 192.168.1.1.
