ip command not found of iproute2


halo........ i had downloaded iproute2, iproute2-051007.tar.gz from http://developer.osdl.org/dev/iproute2/download/

I did tried to follow the instruction of compiling from this link: http://www.policyrouting.org/iproute2.doc.html

But , when i typed "ip addr" or "ip addr list" there is a error message said that the ip command not found shown in terminal :

[root@hb2b-130 kokchin]# ip addr
bash: ip: command not found



Below are the message shown when i folllowed the 8 steps compilation instruction of above link :

[root@hb2b-130 tc]# cp tc /sbin

[root@hb2b-130 tc]# ip addr
bash: ip: command not found



Did anyone have any ideas about this problem?? Your ideas are much appreciated by dropping here.

check /sbin is in you PATH,
check the file perms and make sure its +x

if that fails try running giving the path

./sbin/ip addr
