Invoking NT Domain user authentication for restricted web pages
I'm fairly new to linux/apache webservers so there may be more to this than this question covers but here goes. I have a linux/apache intranet webserver setup on our company's network, a windows domain. Currently, any employee that is logged on to the network can access the entire website with their web browser. I need to add some webpages that I would like only certain employees to have access to. What do I need to do to cause the user logon box to appear when the hyperlink to one of these restricted web pages is clicked on in the users web browser, and for the user to use the same username / password combination they use to log onto the windows network, and to know which of these users is granted access or not. Would this be done with a firewall or proxy server setup ? Like I said - I'm pretty new at this and I'm sure there's a better way to ask the quesiton, but I would sure appreciate any help or alternate suggestions that's offered............Mike
