Internet speed test differences

I did a speed test with Ookla and tptest to the same country (not server) and the differences are quite substantial. TPTEST upload 103.26kbit/s download 1.48Mbit/s and Ookla 340kbits/s upload 5.68Mbit/s download all on TCP. Surely the difference cannot just be the test server. Have done numerous tests over weeks and this difference seems to be consistent between the two test platforms. Which test do i trust? Any comments or light on the subject would be appreciated

The higher one is right. Because speed can be lower because of bandwidth of test server but never can't be higher.

I always use APT or pacman to judge connection speed -- they give a download speed while installing packages.
