Internet Slows

I'm running Suse 9.0. The internet is blazing fast after booting computer, but it seriously degrades after a certain amount of time on any browser. I tried disabling the firewall, but this didn't work. Does anyone know solution to this other than rebooting computer all the time, which is very annoying!

It is hard to say what might be wrong here.
Is it ordinary browsing that slows or downloads? or both?
What about ping times (ping to the web servers? Do they increase during your session?
If you run ifconfig. Does it show a lot of bad/dropped packets?
Are the DNS query times increasing? dig
How about the rest of the program, do they run smothly?
