Well I thought that if you just edited resolv.conf it stayed? Or alternatively because you can have 3 nameservers put the best one you can find first. Does this mean that you now have fast internet access?

I resolved my internet speed issue with this (/etc/modprobe.conf):

Change
alias net-pf-10 ipv6
to
alias net-pf-10 ipv6
install ipv6 /bin/true

really works!

after this you need use rcnetwork restart eth0 ...
