hello guys plz help me for my internet connection..
in XP i connect XP with username and password. i hv cable internet connection..

I hv installl Ubuntu on XP.

I hv put my IP adress DNS etc in Ubuntu at system>administration>netwrk>wirsed connection etc

i hv configure IP and DNS.
But i dnt knw where i suppose to put username and password to connect my internet (in xp there in option to create new connection where we can put username and password and can connect to internet easily)

plz reply me..
1)where should i create usernameand password (for connecting internet)
2) does ubuntu require to install hardware drivers
3) where we will get all ubuntu application software

Sounds to me like you should have configured the Point to Point connection, not the Wired.
