Question Internet On Suse 9.0

Ok, I just got Suse Linux 9.0 and I'm liking it. I got it set to KDE mode cause i'm a new convert from windows. I want to get on the internet with Suse, so I can download the 3D graphics driver for my nvidia card.

Well the point is. I don't know HOW to get onto the internet.
I've unsuccessfully configured my networkcard/DSL modem. I'm really a newbie at this and I need quite a few of suggestions.

I have a RealTek network card, with Broadxent Broadband blaster DSL modem(From American Online[AOL]). Am I going to be able to get onto the internet with this hardware?

I also have a dial up modem, its a Lucent Win Modem on a PCI slot.
If I am unable to get online with my DSL, is there any way to get online with my Dial-up?

What I've tried:

a.) I've tried typing netconfig in the runcommad of Suse.
b.) I've tried typing in /etc/rcd/rcinet1 into the console
c.) I've tried both a and b from root user also....

Any suggestions?
what I need is a REALLY basic instructions on how to configure my network card / modems
I've tried like 4 different websites, with 4 diff. message boards to no avail. and even my Linux setup guide that i've got with my distro CD. All no luck.

Try using YaST to configure the network. Login as root and look for YaST or YaST2 on the menu.

Yeah, I tried that. It saves and everything. I just don't know what or how to configure it in Yast correctly. I just wish I knew what the heck I was doing. I never have this trouble with windows. I see everyone getting on the internet with Linux and I wanna join.

Is there any where I can go that tells what modems SuSe supports?
Oh, and if Yast2 detects my network card. Do I have to configure it or is it already set?
