Hi,

I just intstalled a fresh warm copy of Mandrake 9.2. Install works perfectly, mandrake starts booting, and I get to bringing up connection eth0, where it waits for 3-4 minutes, then gives me the FAILED message.

When I attempt to configure my internet connection with the Mandrake Control Center config tool, it says my internet is down. I bring up the box with the IP Address and stuff in it, and hit Activate, and it just locks for about 3-4 minutes, when it times out. The connection stays down. I am using DHCP.

Worth noting: on this same computer I have windows installed, and internet works there, so the router/cable's not the problem.

Well it is not easy... or common, but if you send more information about your modem, could be easier to help you.
