Question Internet Help

I am stuck I installed RH 9.0 and everything was running great then my internet just shutdown. What I mean is that I one minute I was viewing webpages and the next it was timing out it is weird I formated and tried again and did the same thing. I can not ping out of the box, but I can ping the box from my windows machine. I have looked around at my setting nothing that would cause a problem that I noticed. I had suse on the installed and never had a problem but redhat seems to putting a hurt on me but I would really rather stick with redhat just seems like that is what everyone uses so better stay mainstream. If anyone has any Ideas let me know. Thanks in advance. Rock

Sorry I connect up through a network card (3com 3c905) which is on a dhcp network. The box is a Gateway E-3200 with 512 megs of memory and 10 gig hard drive. As far as network I am on a corp network and I am getting a dhcp from server and my host is being seen with it's dns name.

I checked it has the dns servers in the resolv.conf file.

I looked the hosts file and it looks ok. I restarted the network services and no luck there. It just seems like it does not get out side the box for the network this is the second time I installed it and it has done this. I have looked around on the internet and have not been able to locate any information how to resolve the issue I am having anything I can try I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh I double checked the proxies with mozilla and it is correct so I am stumped why it is doing this.
Overview of my system
Gateway E-3200 P-2 350
512 megs of memory
10 gig hard drive
3c905 network card
Crystal soundcard

Thanks Rock

Perhaps the DHCP mini-HOWTO will help.
