Internet Connection Sharing SuSE 8.0

Hi, first let me say that I am a total newbie to working with Linux, I've installed the FTP version of SuSE 8.0 and so far so good.

I've gone through some of the posts here and a couple of other places and I've mapped a couple of drives from a Win2k server to the Linux box and I can ping any of the other computers on my network and ping external sites.

Where I am having trouble at the moment is accessing the web using Konqueror. When I type he URL in the location field all I get is "Unknown host www.websiteaddress.com"

I have gone through the settings in Konqueror and tried the proxy settings but that didn't help.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok I got a little further, somehow it is to do with the DNS settings! I don't know how to cofigure DNS so could do with some help here.

When I type the IP address of the web site I want to access I can get the web site but as soon as I specify the URL I can load the page. When I try to jump to another site via links again the page can't be displayed.

Can someone help me configure the DNS so I can just type in the web address?

Also how can I get my SuSE box added to my Win2k Domain?

Thanks in advance.

FYI

I was advised to open /etc/resolv.conf and specify the DNS details like this.

# Primary DNS Server
Servername serverIP

# Secondary DNS Server
servername serverIP

Due to my setup I specified my internal DNS details but this didn't work so I got the DNS details from my cable modem ISP but agian this didn't work.

In the end I found that when I specified the IP of my router and the proxy port in the proxy settings of Konqueror I could get access using web addresses.

Still having problems adding SuSE to my Windows domain? Do I need to buy the professional edition to do this?
