well in ifconfig whilst connected ppp0 was the only one that looked like it was doing something, the IP address also matched the one that KPPP was reporting, cheers for the help...ill keep trying

k cheers for the help, ill keep trying, i can get it to share with mandrake control center connection thing but that sucks cause i dont know when its dc'd or anything, can anyonce suggest some kind of monitoring program or a way to get mandrake to automatically redial when it disconnects??
