Internet connection sharing between Ubuntu and Windows 98SE
My cable modem is connected to my pc running Ubuntu, which is connected to a pc running Windows 98SE. How can I set up Ubuntu to allow Windows 98 to connect to the internet?
Well if you've got two NICs then just set iptables up so it does NAT; refer to iptables.org website's documentation for easy examples. After this your windows machine should get the internet through the cable from your Ubuntu, so then it's just configuring the Windows network settings (like setting the default gateway to the ip address of your Ubuntu box).
