internet connection fails after a while..

Hey everyone,

I'm using Mandriva 2007, and correctly configured my ethernet and wireless cards - everything just looks great.

I'm connected to the internet via a DSL line, DSL modem with a DHCP server.

I did configure all my settings correctly, DNS, Gateway, IP, etc...

But after a while surfing on the net, connection looks like not working i can not visit any web site except my modem's settings by typing 192.168.1.1 ..

On the other hand, MSN, Yahoo or AIM connections work with no problem..

It's same with the wired or wireless connection, too..

My guess: you loose your DNS 'information'.

Try http://66.102.9.99 in the address bar of your browser. It should give you google. If so, you loose you DNS information which means that the name that you type in the address bar can not be resolved to an IP address.

Unfortunately I don't know the solution to the problem.
