Open Yast and configure YOUR Network Settings, one at a time. There are click boxes that YOU can click to open menus. "Advanced" and "details" are the two important ones to save YOUR settings in Yast. When offered "start at boot", select Yes and save, then finish. These settings will then be there after a reboot. The choices include configure DHCP or Static IP. Choosing DHCP will give YOUR system DHCP with the dhcpcd program and the benefits of DNS. Make sure YOUR IP gives YOU at least the Primary DNS Nameserver. Ask for the Secondary DNS Nameserver. It helps to have both in the setup. These are in the form [www.xxx.eee.fff] and [www.xxx.yyy.zzz]. Also inquire with YOUR ISP if YOUR using "PPPoA" or "PPPoE"? There is a difference. And YOUR setup will change for either one. See here....www.wiki.com and http://tldp.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX/howtos.html Good luck.
