Im kinda of a noob still when it comes to linux

OK When i use a lot of bandwidth like Upload and Download (use more than 60K/s)
My Internet connection will cut out. I usually go to Knetworkmanager (in KDE)
and go to options and switch to offline then i go switch to online then its back up

Can any one help me stop my connection from cutting out?

Did you see anything interesting in /var/log/messages when the connection is cut?

How do you download/upload? Some ISPs cut the connection from their side once BT or Emule traffic is detected.

i get no message

but it only cuts out on suse10.1 linux

it wont out on windows or any other type of linux

*btw i download using ktorrent and winmx

If you also used BT on other PCs and the connection was OK, we can ignore the ISP side.

Maybe you should use mii-tool or alike to check the nic config on Suse (especially speed and duplex) and watch the status of the interface (-w).
