Internet Configuration Help


I just started to do internet on Mandrake 10.1
I can't figure out how to configure it to use the interent. I have tried to open both Mozilla and Epiphany...and t says that each thing (google or msn) is not found and I should try again.

what type of internet connection u have ? means dial-up, cable connection or ethernet broadband etc.

Internet Configuration Help

There could be 20 different problems from a loose connection to your ISP not suporting Linux.You need to carefully note what you are using, the connection type and what you have tried so far. I also had a hard time with internet connection and it turned out that my firewall was blocking access,both dialup and dsl.

I have Charter High Speed Digital Internet and I've put the ethernet cable directly to my comp. If you need more specifics let me know.

Unhappy Problem accessing internet using fedora core 4

can anybody help me with this mess....i cant access the internet using my fedora core 4.....i cant obtain IP also....how to obtain an IP address at 1st start......somebody plss kindly help me with this problem...

so you have ethernet modem ?
in this case you need to configure "pppoe-setup"

buddy we are not visually impaired. Normal font size too would have worked.
And posting your query in someone else is called "hijacking". Don't repeat it.
anyways.....
Give the details. What kinda connection you have etc. etc.

Or if you have a router it will get IP address from ISP and assign your pc an internal LAN address. You need to write down a list of details then type a message. I will be away for a few days so perhaps ruudra can walk you through this but you need to provide more information. There are many thousands of users online with Mandrake so you can do it if you keep at it.
