Unhappy Internet access trough D-Link router 504T not working (kernel 2.6?)

Hi, I'm having trouble connecting to the internet under linux with my new router.

It works perfectly under windows but under linux you need to ping the server first to be able to load the page. This error only occurs with newer distros such as Mdk10, Fedora2 who are using kernel 2.6.
I tried with Mdk move (kernel 2.4) and it worked perfectly.

Here is my config:
ROUTER: D-Link DSL-504T
IP: 192.168.0.254
Mask: 255.255.255.0

and of my PC:
OS: Fedora 2
IP: 192.168.0.1
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.254
DNS: 192.168.0.254

I also tried with the DHCP server in the router but no changes. What am I supposed to do?

PS: the cable and lan connection between computers/router work perfectly
