for further fine tuning....
you should look into squid.conf's below mentioned variables:

1. cache_mem
2. maximum_object_size (if you have bigger cache disk, you should increase this variable to higher value)
3. Put cache_directory (dir) physically on other hard disk if possible. Because.. the seek/access time will eventually respond better on a seperate hard disk as the head will only work for your cache data. (at max put 70% as the cache_dir size limit outta total harddisk avail for this mount point)

Regards,
I replied to someone else on some other forum with that. Hope that helps you as well.

Does those variable actually have a hash in the squid.conf or did you put them ?

i don not change anything in squid.conf. i think its default. do i need to change anything in these two line.

is there any possibility to improve the speed if i clear or delete the whole content of access.log,store.log and cache.log files .

thank for ur answer again

I dont see any reason for MAX object size having a size of 0 Kb by default. And did you mean that you havent done a single change in your squid.conf & it is still working for you ?

These are just log of actual information.
