Internal Network access is slow

I recently changed the IPs on a few of the Linux machines at work. Now on 3 of them internal network traffic is incredibly slow (400+ms ping) yet going to the internet is still fast (<10ms ping).

Machines are running Red Hat 7.2 with a 3Com NIC. I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd start by checking your routing and DNS settings. You'll need to post more details of what you've changed and of your network topology to get proper help though.

cheers

Jamie...

What does the results of ifconfig show? Are there a large number of errors? There might be a duplex mis-match somewhere.
