Unhappy interferences between adhoc and managed networks

Hi

I have to networks interconnected: one in adhoc mode, the other in managed mode. My AP is the gateway between these 2 networks. One is on channel 4 (adhoc) the other on channel 10. When I make 2 FTP transfers , one between one client and my AP, another between 2 PC in adhoc (two 1-hop neighbours), it seems they share the channel even if it isn't the same. I mean when the first transfer is running (for instance in the adhoc network), the throughput is around 500 kB/s, then when the second transfer is running too, the sum of throughputs is around 500 kB/s instead of 2 throughputs around 500 kB/s each.
I don't understand why each transfer doesn't use its own channel entirely but they do as they were sharing the same.
If I try to test interferences between two adhoc networks, there is absolutely no problem, no interference, each uses its own channel completely without disturbing the other.
Can someone help me? Did anybody have the same problem as I have?
Thanks for suggests.

Titou
