Intel PRO 100VE onboard ethernet card problem in Slackware 12
 

I have recently installed Slackware 12 in my system, but i could not start the onboard ethernet. I'm using Intel D915GAV mobo with Intel PRO 100VE onboard ethernet card. Modprobe e100 made slack to detect my ethernet card but could not start the connection, tried ifconfig but connection starts and dies immedieatly. when i start the connection from network settings in KDE settings i get the error "unable to start network connection try starting manually". Help me how to resolve this issue.
